Rhett Stuart Hurls 5 Perfect Innings!
The Emory Eagles were down 4-0 to Case Western Re-serve after 3 1/2 innings when Rhett was brought in from the bullpen in centerfield. He shut down the #13 nationally ranked Spartans the rest of the game, retiring all 15 batters he faced. Unfortunately, Emory never scored and lost their third consecutive game in Cleveland, after winning the opening game in the series.
Back in Atlanta, in the opener against arch rival Washington University, Rhett stretched his perfect streak to 21 batters, before hitting one with a pitch. He retired the next two batters in the ninth to save the first of three wins against the Bears.
We are thrilled that Rhett is even pitching in his senior year after suffering a ruptured disk in the Fall, let alone watch him complete what might be the longest perfect streak in college baseball this season. He is pitching without pain, but works with the trainer for an hour before each game and it wasn’t until his perfect streak over 4 games that he had close to his full motion.
Almost finished bragging about Rhett... after Sunday’s doubleheader, he was on location filming an original movie for his final project at Emory!
Now, for those of you wondering about the real estate market: Saturday night after the game, we got 3 offers on a new listing in Cleveland Park that was scheduled for an open house on Sunday. We didn’t wait... and sold it for more than the asking price!
Sunday night, another Cleveland Park couple hired me to sell their home. It’s not quite ready to put on the market yet. That’s a story repeating itself time and time again in today’s market... and many sell before ever making it to Multiple Listing! I have a handful that are getting ready to go. Coming soon: Observatory Circle, $995,000 (pictured above).
Another Success Story
"I heard about Marjorie from three other friends who had sold their units with her and who all shared their glowing reviews of working with her. I had a nightmare with selling properties in the past because other Realtors never really lived up to their game plan. I thought that’s just the way it is. In my initial meeting with Marjorie, she laid out her whole strategy and past experience in home sales. I knew from the start that selling my place in Cleveland Park was going to be a much better experience. Marjorie’s follow-through was unprecedented, and she really set the bar high for the real estate agents in the future.
When Marjorie arrived for our first meeting she was very well prepared. She showed me her whole track record, and I was overwhelmed at her preparedness and professionalism. She addressed the work that needed to be done and she had someone to take care of the painting, carpeting and hardwood floors. She had a staff person for each step of the way from home repair to staging.
The painting, carpeting and refinishing of hardwood floors needed to be done before listing the property. From the time this was discussed, it was expected to take a week to complete. Initially, I anticipated that this job would take much longer and wasn’t sure if they’d be able to finish the floors in such a short amount of time. All the work was completed in excellent fashion in just 6 days!
Marjorie had a set plan, and she made sure everything fell in place according to schedule. The whole process was orchestrated according to the plan. Usually, something goes wrong when there are so many people involved, but with Marjorie everything all went through smoothly and according to plan.
Only one open house was needed. The people who bought the unit signed a contract that day and wanted a response the next day. Marjorie called me up that morning and we decided that a bird in the hand was better than a bird in the bush. Marjorie priced it right, as the buyers bid over the listing price.
Marjorie even recommended a mover for me while the house was getting ready to be sold. She was a 1-stop shop and it was fantastic! She knew how to wheel and deal and make sure that I was the one who came out on top in the end.
Marjorie provides a lot of information and she lays it all out to help ensure that you make the best decision. She would always get back to me right away. She set out to sell this property and she did. Her follow through was impressive. What she said, she did, and she got it done for more than the listing price.
What more can you ask for?"
